KCC Youth Series

Aloha Parents!

I'm excited to give you a heads-up on our upcoming series called “Made.” It’s our annual series on sex and runs through February. Here’s a summary of what this series is about:

“When it comes to sex, we all have certain ideas and expectations of what it should— or shouldn’t—be about. But what if all those thoughts and ideas are actually missing the mark? In this series, as we take a look at God’s design for sex, we’ll discover that there’s more to it than we think.”

This series is for middle school and high school combined, except for the 3rd week where high school and middle school are separated and the  4th week when boys and girls will be separated.  All 4 lessons are at the bottom of this page, giving you a snap-shot of what each Sunday will cover. We’ll continue to send out the usual Parent Que email, which includes suggestions of how to continue the conversation with your kids at home.

Though we encourage all of our students and parents to take part in all 4 Sundays of this series, we understand that this is a sensitive topic.  We love, respect and support our students’ families and understand if you do not feel comfortable having your child take part.  If you decide to have you and your child take a pass with this series, we’d like to encourage you to have them join you at the regular adult services on any Sundays you miss. However, we hope that you still take the time at some point to discuss these topics with your kids.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.  We look forward to what God will teach us, and our students through the Made series about His beautifully intended design of sex.

As a resource, you can see Pastor Bryan’s book, Everyone Loves Sex: So Why Wait? on his book’s website www.EveryoneLovesSex.org or on Amazon.
