OUR `OHANA

Founded by Kaimuki Christian Church in 1968, Kaimuki Christian School's well-earned reputation over the past 50 years has led to the expansion of the school's campus and offerings. One hundred percent of graduates have gone on to college.

With a student body size of 300 preschool to high school students, teachers and families are close knit. Student-teacher ratios are intentionally kept small to optimize helping each child achieve his or her God-intended potential.

KCS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International.

OUR PROGRAM

KCS develops self-directed and lifelong learners, critical thinkers, effective communicators, and active community participants. To achieve our mission, a Biblical worldview is integrated into our educational program through teaching, curriculum, morning devotions, and weekly chapel services. With affordable tuition, a convenient location, and college preparatory curriculum, KCS may be O`ahu's best kept secret.

PRE-SCHOOL
(P3 & P4)

Watch your child flourish in our preschool program! It's never too early to develop leadership and collaboration. Our interactive, hands-on teaching style and small circle learning aim to nurture these qualities - setting the stage for your child's future success. Children develop their independence, social skills, and math & reading readiness skills as they prepare for elementary school.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
(K to 5th)

Language arts, social studies, science, and math are complemented by Chinese, music, computer, art, physical education and enriched by learning experiences in the community. This includes the Big Island trip, excursions, elementary camp, as well as outreach & service opportunities.

As children discover more about their identity in Christ, they grow intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Highly qualified teachers challenge and engage students in a cooperative environment, providing children with a strong foundation for middle and high school. Extra curricular activities for elementary students include hula, choir, chess club, robotics, volleyball, and basketball.

UPPER SCHOOL
(6th to 12th)

A quality middle and high school curriculum, administered in a personalized setting, prepares students for the rigors of adult life. From camp to service learning projects, students continue to be challenged and nurtured in a well-rounded environment.

High school students embark on trips to Washington, D.C., China, and the Philippines. Upperclassmen may enroll in Kapi`olani Community College's Early Admissions Program to earn high school and college credit.

Students also have the opportunity to prepare for Advanced Placement Exams. Volleyball, basketball, cross country, and soccer teams participate in the Hawaii Sports Fellowship league.
